Travel Quotes

Travel quotes are inspiring way to do something out of the box. They often resonate with what we want to do afterall we are not alone in our pursuit to explore the world. Here are few of my favourite ones that keeps me going, keeps me interested.
Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

To start with, my favourite quote from J. R. R. Tolkien
  • Not all who wander are lost. ... And not all who are lost want to be found.
  • Life is not about destination but about the journey. These quotes are to all those friends who I met on the road.
  • A journey is best measure in friends, rather than miles. Tim Cahill
  • “I shall be telling this with a sigh, somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” Robert Frost
  • I love the mountains, it is here that I am home.” Anatoli Boukreev
  • “Home is where the heart is, and my heart is wherever I am at the moment.” Lily Leung
  • “The first question which you will ask and which I must try to answer is this, ‘What is the use of climbing Mount Everest ?’ and my answer must at once be, ‘It is no use’. There is not the slightest prospect of any gain whatsoever. So, if you cannot understand that there is something in man which responds to the challenge of this mountain and goes out to meet it, that the struggle is the struggle of life itself upward and forever upward, then you won’t see why we go. What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. We eat and make money to be able to enjoy life. That is what life means and what life is for.” George Mallory
  • “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.” Mark Twain
  • If you are not living on the edge, you are taking too much space.
  • “I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.” Oscar Wilde
  • “If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears.” Glenn Clark
  • “Don't be a tourist, plan less, go slowly. I travelled in the most inefficient way possible and it took me exactly where I wanted to go.” Andrew Evans at TEDx 2011
  • “You don't expect to be on top of the mountain the day you start climbing.” Ron Dennis
